Boursin Mushroom Toasts
  • Brush dirt off mushrooms with a damp paper towel or pastry brush and trim stems.
  • Wash onions and slice into quarters.
  • Heat oil in frying pan over medium heat, add mushrooms & onion and brown until mushrooms begin to take on color, about 10 minutes.
  • Remove onions from pan, add butter and season with salt & pepper. Continue to cook mushrooms until butter becomes light brown, or nutty smelling, about another 5 minutes.
  • While mushroom & onions are cooking, slice baguette into ¾ inc slices and toast in a 300’ oven from 10 minutes. Remove and cool.
  • Spread about 1 tbsp of Boursin® Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese on the cooled toasted baguette slices.
  • Top with 1 mushroom and 1 onion quarter.
  • Garnish with parsley & pink peppercorns if using.

Tip

Do not run the mushrooms under water as they will absorb the moisture and then be difficult to brown properly. Also try with Boursin’s other flavors!

  • 1 box Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs , crumbled

  • 1 French baguette, sliced

  • 12 small chanterelle mushrooms

  • 2 small yellow onions, quartered

  • 36 pink peppercorns (optional)

  • 12 small Italian parsley leaves

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

  • 1 tbsp of butter

  • Salt, pepper
