Homemade Onion Confit
  • In a saucepan, melt butter. Add sliced onions, while stirring continuously, cook over medium-low heat until the onions are beautifully caramelized. About 20-30 minutes.
  • Add maple syrup and balsamic vinegar. Cook for about two minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add salt & pepper to taste and set aside.
Sausages
  • Place the rack in the highest position and pre-heat the oven to 425 degrees.
  • Place the toulsouse sausage on a roasting sheet & prick the sausage all over with a toothpick. Drizzle the olive oil.
  • Roast until the sausages are browned and cooked through, about 25-30 minutes.
  • Once done, slice the sausage on a bias to prepare for assembly.
Assemble the Sliders
  • Toast the slider buns and assemble with homemade onion confit and sliced sausage. Top with Boursin Fig & Balsamic and finish with fresh basil.
  • Place on a beautiful serving platter and serve.

  • For Homemade Onion Confit:

  • 2 tbsp. grass-fed butter

  • 2 small onions, thinly sliced

  • 1 tbsp. maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 2.6 oz Boursin® Fig & Balsamic Cheese

  • 1/2 Tbsp olive oil

  • 2 Toulouse sausages

  • 6 slider buns

  • Fresh basil

  • For Homemade Onion Confit:

  • 1 Tbsp. grass-fed butter

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced

  • 1/2 Tbsp. maple syrup

  • 1/2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar

  • salt and pepper to taste
